So if they were in a tight spot which celebrity do the British think would help them out? Again the choice was:
- Sir Richard Branson
- David Cameron
- David Beckham
- Simon Cowell
- Gordon Brown
- Gordon Ramsay
- Posh Spice
- Sir Alan Sugar
- Madonna
- Jamie Oliver
- Kate Moss
- Prince William
- Chris Moyles
- Terry Wogan
- The Queen
- Paris Hilton
Here's the incredible result: The Monarchy may be going strong, but Britons don't regard their Queen as the sharing caring type. Well ahead of every other celebrity 31 per cent said the Queen was deemed least likely to help with an emergency cab fare.
The Queen's least trusting subjects could be found in Norwich, where 47% thought she would not share, while her most loyal were to be found in Sheffield, where only 18% thought they could rely on the monarch if they were in a fix.
But the British monarchy can breathe a sigh of relief for perhaps it has a more sharing future. Prince William was ranked most likely of our choice of celebs to share his cash with a subject in trouble.
Perhaps surprisingly given his past image as the iron chancellor, Britain's new Prime Minister Gordon Brown scores rather well in the sharing stakes with 7%, ahead of rival David Cameron on just 3%.
FON says - we're surprised, perhaps it's because Her Majesty is renowned for not carrying cash.
